Displaying and administering module artifacts

Use the Module Browser widget to see the SCA modules in your cell and the artifacts those modules contain. The Module Browser can be used in conjunction with other widgets to view details of or administer individual artifacts within a module.

Before you begin

Required security role for this task: If administrative security is enabled, you must be logged in with an administrative role (Administrator, Configurator, Operator, Monitor, AdminsecurityManager, Deployer, or icsadmins) to view and administer modules.

About this task

To see a module and its artifacts, and to optionally administer those artifacts, perform the following steps in the Module Browser widget.

Procedure

  1. Browse the list of modules to locate the one you want to view in detail.
  2. Click the arrow next to any module to expand the browser tree and list all artifacts in the module.
  3. From the expanded browser tree, take one of the following actions to open an artifact and, optionally, administer it.
    Option Description
    Service imports and service exports
    1. Click the name of the module to display a diagram of all of its service imports and service exports in either the Module Administration widget or the Module Assembly widget.
    2. Click any service import or export in the diagram to display more information.

    You can also click the name of an individual import or export to display the high-level binding endpoint details in the Module Administration widget.

    Process template, human task, or business state machine
    1. Complete one of the following tasks:
      • Expand the Processes section of the browser tree to list all processes in the module, then click the process name.
      • Expand the Human Tasks section of the browser tree to list all tasks in the module, then click the task name.
      • Expand the State Machines section of the browser tree to list all business state machines in the module, then click the state machine name.
    2. View the artifact details in the Module Administration widget and, optionally, click the link to open Business Process Choreographer Explorer in a new browser window and administer the artifact.
    Module properties
    1. Click the Module Properties section of the browser tree to list all promoted properties defined for the module; the list is shown in the Module Administration widget.
    2. Optionally, modify property values and click Save.
    Mediation policies
    1. Click the Mediation Policies section of the browser tree to list the policy attachments defined for the module; the list is shown in the Module Administration widget.
    2. Optionally, attach new or existing mediation policies, and click Save.
    Business rule groups
    1. Expand the Rule Groups section of the browser tree to list all business rule groups.
    2. Click the name of the rule group to display its details in the Module Administration widget.
    3. Click the link in the Module Administration widget to open the business process rules manager.
    Business calendar
    1. Expand the Business Calendar section of the browser tree to list all calendars.
    2. Click the name of the business calendar to display its details in either the Module Administration widget or the Business Calendars widget.
      Note: You must have appropriate Reader, Writer, or Owner permissions for the calendar.
    Security role
    1. Expand the Security Roles section of the browser tree to list all security roles.
    2. Click the name of the security role to display its details in either the Module Administration widget or the Security Roles widget.
      Note: You must have BPMAdmin or BPMRoleManager authority to assign or modify roles.
    Store and Forward
    1. Expand the Service Control Points section of the browser tree to list all service control points.
    2. Click Service Control Points to display all service control points in the Module Administration widget.
    Store and Forward Details
    1. Expand the Service Control Points section of the browser tree to list all service control points.
    2. Click the name of a service control point to display its details in the Module Administration widget.
