My Tasks (deprecated)

Use the My Tasks widget to work with the tasks that you own. This widget is deprecated, use Tasks instead.

By default, the My Tasks widget interacts with the Task Information, Available Tasks, Human Workflow Diagram, and Team List widgets. However, this default behavior can be changed by anyone who has editor rights to the page that the widget is on.

Using My Tasks

In the My Tasks widget, you can perform the following actions:

  • Work on one or more tasks by selecting the tasks and then clicking Edit. The tasks open in the Task Information widget. If a task is part of a workflow, the workflow is shown in the Human Workflow Diagram widget.
  • Return a task to the set of available tasks by selecting the task and then Return from the Actions list.
  • Transfer a task to someone else by selecting the task and then Transfer from the Actions list.
  • Sort the tasks, for example, by due date by selecting a criterion in the Sort By list
  • Restrict the tasks that are displayed in the widget to a specific task type by selecting a task list from the list of filtered tasks.
  • Filter the tasks in the All tasks list, for example, to show only high priority tasks by selecting a criterion from the task list menu.

Configuring My Tasks

If you own the page that the widget is on or have permission to edit the page, you can use the widget menu to configure the following settings for My Tasks:
  • The lists of tasks that are available to users of this widget and what information is shown for each list. Complete the following steps to configure these settings:
    1. In the Properties tab, select Select Task Lists from the list of task lists, and then select the check boxes for the lists that you want to make available. The All tasks list is always available.
    2. For each task list, select the check boxes for the information you want the widget to show. The first property in the list becomes the title of the entries in the task list. Use the arrows to change the order in which the information is shown.
    3. Specify the number of tasks that are shown in a list of tasks. This value is applied to all of the tasks lists that are displayed in the widget.
  • How the information in the widget is refreshed. Click the Refresh tab to work with these settings.
  • How the priority of tasks is shown. Click the Priority tab to work with these settings.
