Starting an escalation

You can manually start an escalation if you do not want to wait for it to start automatically.

Before you begin

You must have access to a page in a Heritage Process Portal space that contains at least one of the following widgets:
  • Tasks
  • Escalations
  • Task Information

About this task

You can start an escalation in the Task Information, Tasks, or the Escalations widget. The following procedure describes how to start an escalation in the Escalations widget.

Procedure

  1. In the Escalations List, filter the escalations for the task that you want to escalate.
  2. Select the escalation that you want to start.
    Tip: You can only start escalations that have a status of "Set".
  3. Select Start from the Actions list. A confirmation window is displayed.
  4. Click OK to confirm that you want to start the escalation.

Results

The escalation is started immediately, and the Escalations List is updated automatically. The status of the escalation changes to "Started".
