Exporting spaces

If you can edit a space, you can export it. Exporting a space is useful if you want to give someone a copy of your space without giving them access to it or if you want to re-create the space later.

About this task

If you are an administrator, exporting a space is how you create a backup of the space before upgrading the product. When you export a space, you also export the pages that are in the space and the viewer and editor lists.

Procedure

  1. In the banner, click Manage Spaces. The Space Manager opens.
  2. For the space you want to export, click Actions > Export. A window opens.
  3. Save the .zip file.
