Proxy Gateway
Use the Proxy Gateway widget to administer proxy groups defined for a proxy gateway. A proxy gateway is a module that receives web service requests and forwards them to an endpoint defined in a proxy group.
Proxy groups must be defined in the following places:
- In the proxy gateway module, using IBM Integration Designer.
- In the built-in configuration store, in Process Server. When you
deploy a proxy gateway module to Process Server, any new proxy groups
defined by the module are automatically created. Note: When you uninstall a proxy gateway module, the proxy groups defined by the module are not automatically deleted.
Proxy groups contain virtual service names that you map to real service endpoints. A virtual service name can have one or more endpoints associated with it. If you define a list of endpoints, you determine the order in which the services are tried.
When the proxy gateway processes a request, the virtual service name in the configuration store must match the virtual service name in the request.
