Administration widgets

Administration widgets offer a way to manage and monitor the individual components of your overall business process management solution, including modules and services.

The administration widgets are grouped on pages in the following templates:

The Solution Administration template contains the widgets you need to administer the modules in your solution.
The Service Administration template contains the widgets you need to monitor and work with the services used in your solution.
The Problem Determination template contains the widgets you need to monitor the health of your modules and of your overall system.

These widgets are delivered as part of Business Space and function in the same way as other widgets. You can minimize, maximize, and drag widgets while laying out a page. In addition, each widget has a menu that contains actions that you can perform on the widget.

Each widget has help; click Help from the widget menu.

Note: The Administration Widgets are not supported, if you are using Business Space on an iPad.

Module Browser widget
Use the Module Browser widget to list all the deployed Service Component Architecture (SCA) modules in a cell and select one for detailed inspection or administration.
Module Administration
The Module Administration widget is a container widget that displays inline the contents of the Module Properties, Mediation Policy Administration, Module Assembly , and Store and Forward widgets, depending on which administrative artifact you choose in the Module Browser widget. If you have installed IBM Business Process Rules Manager, it can also show the contents of the Business Calendars or Security Roles widget.
Module Assembly
The Module Assembly widget visually represents the services exposed and invoked by a module. Use it to see details about a module, including its status and any configuration problems or failed events it has.
Module Properties
Use the Module Properties widget to list and edit the values for promoted properties defined for a module. The contents of this widget are displayed inline in the Module Administration widget.
Mediation Policy Administration
Use the Mediation Policy Administration widget to work with mediation policies defined for a module or target service. Using mediation policies you can dynamically control service interactions, using contextual information.
Proxy Gateway
Use the Proxy Gateway widget to administer proxy groups defined for a proxy gateway. A proxy gateway is a module that receives web service requests and forwards them to an endpoint defined in a proxy group.
Service Browser
Use the Service Browser widget to list services defined in WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository (WSRR). In addition, use the Service Browser widget to administer the mediation policies associated with the services.
Service Monitor
Use the Service Monitor widget to measure response time and throughput over a defined period of time for the services exposed and invoked by your module.
Module Health
Use the Module Health widget to evaluate the health of your module and identify potential problems. The widget provides a central place for health information about module topology, system components, system messaging engines, queues, data sources, and failed events.
System Health
Use System Health to view a snapshot of the overall system health of your business solution. This widget provides a single place from which you can quickly assess the status of application servers, nodes, clusters, deployment environments, messaging engines and their queues, databases, system applications, and failed events.
Business Calendars
Use the Business Calendars widget to view all the timetables for your business application. If security is enabled, you can view and modify information about timetables for which you have the proper security role.
Security Roles
Use Security Roles to assign members (users and groups) to roles associated with the Business Calendars module. These module roles determine the level of access that members have to timetables. You can also use Security Roles to assign system roles.
Store and Forward
Use this widget to determine whether store-and-forward service control points are in store or forward state. Store-and-forward service control points are in store state if a destination is not available. Messages are stored until the destination becomes available again at which point the stored messages can be forwarded by setting the service control point to its forward state. You can also look at originally configured store and forward service control point properties. Some of these properties can be edited.
